Need of religion

We born, we live our whole life with many different objectives.
These objectives can be consciously or unconsciously or
subconsciuosly.
Sometimes we achieve certain objectives, then we switch to other
objectives. Life goes on until death arrives. At the end of life,
we couldn't understand the purpose of life. We won the game or
lost it, no one knows. Further we don't even know the criteria
that decides what is winning and what is losing.
From this overwhelming confusion starts the journey of religion,
spirituality or God as we generally name it.
An extract from speech of Swami Vivekananda :
" Whatever may be the position of philosophy, whatever may be the
position of metaphysics, so long as there is such a thing as
death in the world, so long as there is such a thing as weakness
in the human heart, so long as there is a cry going out of the
heart of man in his very weakness, there shall be a faith in God."
This speech was delivered by him at World Parliament of Religion
in Chicago on 26th september 1893.
